A very rare 1940 vintage Macallan, this whisky was first bottled in 1977 and now released as part of the distillery's Fine & Rare series. NOSE: Fruity esters, perfumed and forward. Light oiliness apparent with tangy citrus of lemons and limes. PALATE: Complex mix of tangycitrus fruits, spiced wood and robust peat smoke. FINISH: Citrus, peat, spices and wood – long, long, long finish.
