One of the original set of Family cask releases from the Glenfarclas range of rare and old single cask releases that go all the way back to whisky distilled in 1952 and first released in 2007. Distilled 30/5/1969 Bottled 28/2/2007 Aged for 37 years in a single Sherry Hogshead Only 148 bottles released at natural cask strength 56. 2% ABV Very deep bronze. Another full bodied and heavily sherried Glenfarclas, but quite peaty for this distillery. Spicy yet sweet, a complex palate that evolves. Add a drop of water and enjoy the whisky as it opens up, revealing a mix of maltiness and sherry in your mouth. The water also lets you enjoy the flavours for longer. A little vanilla on the aftertaste. Strong yet very warming.
