Batch 1. 1 Uses 100% Irish malted barley, Waterford’s Single Farm Origin series is an uber-provenance range of limited edition natural whiskies that explore Irish “teireoir” – one farm, one place at a time. No colouring, chill-filtration or additives are used whilst long fermentation and slow distillations have created an impactful flavour. In the rain shadow of the Wicklow Mountains, the Slaney river winds its way southwards through County Wexford. Here Robert Milne exploits one of Ireland’s premier barley terroirs. Farming now with his son and nephew, five generations of his family have farmed these fertile fields with their loamy, clay soils. Official Tasting Notes A golden barley appearance with oils that slowly caress the glass. Fruity aromas hit the nose alongside milk chocolate, rhubarb and custard. Green apple greets the palate coated in caramel, cloves and custard with liquorice and mint chocolate. A gentle finish with heat that lingers in your mouth and as it slowly fades; oiliness is left with spicy chocolate.
