Matured in a first fill European hogshead for 11 years and then finished in a first fill oloroso cask, Auld Goonsy says that this Speyside malt is like a good old rich Clootie dumpling, covered in cream. Nose: sherried spice, bramble pie with marzipan notes. Palate: mixed raisins, Christmas cake and nutmeg. Finish: warm finish of nectarines, marmalade and crème caramel.
