Dark red with ruby tones, the wine's chocolatey ripeness takes on compelling floral lift and lively thyme and sage notes with time in the glass. A wonderfully silky, creamy Clos Vougeot with outstanding inner-mouth lift to its dark fruit and mineral flavors complicated by wild herbs and spices. This hugely dense wine finishes with massive but noble late-arriving tannins and explosive building length.
