The Pinotage is a very complex wine with hints of red fruit flavours which reflects some Pinot Noir style elegance and structure. The full-bodied palate has a really fresh blueberry tinge that runs all the way through it with silky tannins and a long finish. 91 Points - Wine SpectatorA juicy, racy style, with deliciously pure plum and blackberry compote flavors enlivened by an anise note that lingers through the finish. It offers a vivid and powerful bouquet of black cherries, licorice, melted tar and blueberries that seem to gush from the glass. The palate is powerful on the entry with bold tannin, but there is the acidity here to keep everything balanced and counter the layers of fruit with freshness and tension. As I have written before, Kanonkop know how to make a great Pinotage and this is a delight.
