In 1997, the Tommasi family bought an estate in Pitgliano (province of Grosseto), giving birth to the "Project Tuscany": POGGIO AL TUFO. The Pitigliano Estate composes 66 hectares of vineyards cultivated on volcanic soil, rich in tuff (a type of rock made of volcanic ash). Their Cabernet Sauvignon has an intense bouquet of dark fruit, spices and licorice. It is well balanced with good structure, nice length and fruity flavors.
