The 2018 Chianti Classico Gran Selezione La Corte draws fruit from a pretty south and southwest-facing vineyard with well-draining, sandy soils. This wine is beautifully intact and fresh. It reveals a primary bouquet of wild cherry, plum and forest fruit. The finish is linear, tight and polished, especially regarding the tannins. It ages 12 months in both barrique and tonneaux made from Tron?ais and Allier oak and sees another six months in bottle before its commercial release.
